Spend a moment or two and reflect on that most important Night Before Christmas… What do you think was going through Mary & Joseph’s minds the very night before Jesus was born?
What do all women think about when they know a new little life is coming into the world soon? We all wonder, is this going to really hurt? Am I going to be able to do this? Can you imagine poor Mary, a virgin, getting ready to give birth to a baby...and not just any baby but God! There had to be a mixture of fear, excitement, worry, and on and on! I like to think that God put a cloak of peace around Mary when the time came.
Joseph...ah, what do all Dad's think? If we go off of my own husband, it was "my gosh, my whole world is about to change!?" Joseph probably had no idea just how much!
I've been doing some reviews for Sprout and the new programs they are offering and the other day I got a box in the mail from them! They sent me a FLip video camera! Okay, so yesterday was a yucky day, but today is brand new! I played with my little one's all morning and took some video of them playing with their penguin puppets they made! How cute are they?
Tonight is family game night! Should make the evening end on a note of laughter! What can I say other than my God is an awesome God and I rest easy in His loving grace!
Alright, so we live in an old mobile home. Before you start telling me how we are so lucky to have a home, let me just say, I know! But, for a moment, I need to just be human and not be little miss happy sunshine, okay?
We applied for a weatherization grant to fix the roof and floor in our house. We have holes everywhere and with bad weather coming, it will get only worse. Well, we didn't qualify because the value of our home isn't enough. Great...so now my hubby is trying to think of a way to fix said holes in roof and floor. Right now, the estimate is at around $4000. Problem with that is, this house isn't even worth $4000! Why in the world would we put a roof on a house that isn't worth the cost of the roof??? UGH!
Now I know, be thankful in all things. I know this! But darnit, I'm tired of tripping in a hole in the kitchen. I'm tired of the twinks tripping in said hole! I'm tired of having to gather all my bowls on rainy days to keep the water from hitting the floor to create more holes!
I knew the spiritual warfare was going to hit...and of course stupid satan knew exactly where to hit with me. So for the moment, I just need to get it off my chest....I really do NOT like this house! I want a home that doesn't leak. That doesn't have bugs! It does not matter how much I clean, I live in an area that just attracts stupid roaches. Don't even get me started on how much I've paid exterminators! I guess when your neighbors are less than a stones throw from your house, you get bugs. I hate the sound of the FREEWAY running in my back yard! I hate it that my kids can't go outside and play without being smogged out from exhaust fumes!
I know, I'm sounding really whiny! But the decline on the grant was the straw that broke the camels back...sorry. Please pass on encouragement. I know it could be worse, I really do! UGH!
*get's off the whiney seat and goes to bed*
